Amid allegations of repetition of questions in second exam; NEET aspirants seek level play field
1/29/2019 11:00:07 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 29: Aspirants of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-2019 seek level play field amid allegations of repetition of around two third questions in subsequent exam held on 17th of January for valley students who missed the first exam due to inclement weather.
"Around two third questions were repeated in subsequent exam held on 17th of January for valley students who missed the first exam due to inclement weather", alleged NEET aspirants.
First NEET PG was held on 6th of January of 2019 and subsequent exam was held on 17th of January of 2019 for valley students who missed the first exam due to inclement weather.
If sources are to be believed, about two third questions were same as in first exam which was held on 6th of January of 2019.
"Students appearing in second exam are in an advantageous position vis a vis those who appeared in first exam", said aspirants demanding that level playing field should be provided to all the applicants without any bias.
Aspirants further said that the state authorities must take up the matter with National Board of Examinations (NBE) who conducted the exam.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to snowfall, closure of Srinagar-Jammu Highway and cancellation of flights at the Srinagar airport, some Kashmir based candidates who had been allotted centers outside the Valley could not reach their destinations and taking it into consideration, the state government took up the issue with NBE after the matter was discussed by the Chief Secretary with the Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department and the Chairman BOPEE.
