Jammu, Jan 29: Canal Road police today rescued a woman who reportedly fell into canal near Yatri Niwas, Jammu.
Police spokesman said that today morning information was received at police post Canal that an unknown woman has fallen in Canal near cremation ground next to Yatri Niwas, Jammu.
Acting on the information, SI Sohan Singh-Incharge Police Post Canal Road alongwith his team reached the spot and rescued the woman with the help of some locals of the area.
She was identified as Chanchala Devi of Udhampur presently staying at Paloura, Jammu.
After rescue, she was also given First-aid and verifying her whereabouts she was handed over to police post Pouni Chak in presence of her son. |
