Now J&KSDM releases late calendar for quick gains!
'No end to quick deals, Govt should probe'

Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 29: Even as first month of 2019 is almost over, the J&K Skill Development Mission has just released its wall calendar in a "hurried manner", yet again raising brows on the working of the said office.
Official sources said though calendar was released here on January 28, it was "waste of the money of the state exchequer."
"New Calendars are released by latest in the first week of the new year, but in this case it has been released on the last day of forth week. This is enough to show how government is being taken forgranted by this office," said a source in the development mission.
Sources said the J&KSDM had "no plans to release a calendar as no such preparation was done at the right time" but the process was initiated to benefit "blue eyed."
Sources said it was only in the middle of January that the J&KSDM officials decided to release a calendar for "personal benefits."
The sources said the tenders for the process were floated in a "hush hush" manner.
"The tenders for the publication of calendars was done all of a sudden and no proper government guidelines maintained as the process was completed hurriedly," said a sources working the development.
It is not for the first time that the J&K SDM has come under scanner.
Last year the then Peoples Democratic Government appointed Pir Ghulam Nabi as its mission director without holding any interviews for the said post.
After the "controversial appointment", the said official made several appointments "in a hush hush" manner without getting the recruitments done through a transparent manner.
Sources said even though all such "political appointments" at other offices were cancelled after the PDP -BJP alliance broke and the Governor rule came into force, no action was ever taken against the "Kehwa gang."
"Since the day all such appointments took place through backdoor, there has been no accountability in the system," said a senior official in the Civil Secretariat.
He said even though representations were sent to the Raj Bhawan to look into the complaints of the "backdoor appointments of nears and dears" no action was taken.
When contacted a senior official confirmed that the calendars were published " a bit late."
He however said the mission director was the right person to be contacted for comments.
Despite repeated attempts the said official couldn't be contacted for comments.
