| Revenue officials booked for tampering records | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 1: In pursuance of an enquiry conducted by Departmental Vigilance Office Doda on a complaint referred to him by State Vigilance Commission/ Anti Corru-ption Bureau, Case FIR No. 01/2019 U/s 5(1)(d) r/w 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act Svt. 2006, sections 467, 468, 471 & 120- B/RPC has been registered at Police Station ACB Doda against the revenue officials and the beneficiaries for mutilating revenue records to illegally favour beneficiaries in lieu of pecuniary benefits.
Inquiry report of the Departmental Vigilance Officer (DVO) had revealed that two revenue officials namely Rajesh Kumar Thakur, the then Naib Tehsildar Thathri and Parvaz Ahmed S/o Atta Mohd Zargar R/o Thathri, the then Patwari Halqa Jangalwar were responsible for arranging fake revenue documents and Khaka Dasti to facilitate the sale deed of 19 Marlas of land out Khasra No 1136/516 in favour of private beneficiaries at Village Thathari. Therefore on the basis of facts which surfaced during the enquiry conducted by Addl. Deputy Commissioner Doda (DVO) prima facie case was made out against Rajesh Kumar Thakur, the then Naib Tehsildar Thathri, Parvez Ahmed S/o Atta Mohd Zargar R/o Thathri, the then Patwari Halqa Jangalwar and others including beneficiary Mansoor Ahmed S/o Ghulam Hassan Butt R/o Thathri. |
