2/4/2019 11:06:08 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 4: Nearly a year after three terrorists killed 5 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in a deadly suicide attack in Pulwama's Lethpora Village, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has finally arrested key Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operative Fayaz Ahmad Magray.
The agency arrested JeM operative Magray from Jammu. Security forces in the Valley have decided to crack down on a network of overground workers (OGW) or handlers, who supply information and material to terrorists.
The arrested Jaish terrorists Magray is an active OGW of the notorious terror group and is a key conspirator in the CRPF Group Centre attack. Magray provided logistical support and shelter to the three terrorists who were responsible for the suicide attack on CRPF personnel.
Magray was detained earlier in 2001 under Public Safety Act (PSA) by Jammu and Kashmir Police; he remained under detention for 16 months.
He will be produced in a Special NIA court in Jammu where police custody will be sought by the agency for further investigation in the matter.
During the NIA investigation, two terrorists responsible for the attack at Lethpora were identified as Fardeen Ahmad Khandey, the son of a police constable and Abdul Shakoor, a resident of Rawalakor area of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
