Jammu, Feb 5: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Citizen Forum through its President RK Chadha regarding fly-over project from Shakuntla-Janipur fly over proposed in 2008 which has been abandoned for some extraneous reasons and regarding -congesting/widening of the Amphalla - Janipur road and Janipur - High Court Road, a Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan observed that Status report has not been filed and directed respondents to file status report before March 12, 2019.
In the earlier order, Division Bench observed that a proposal in this regard appears to have been submitted by the PWD to the Planning Department vide communication dated 21.12.2017 and only money has to be released by the Planning Department and Finance Department, after the requisite approval.
Upon this Division Bench directed that the needful be done within a period of three weeks and a compliance report be also submitted by the Principal Secretary, Planning Department and the Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, Finance Department by the next date of hearing. |
