Notorious criminal detained under PSA

Samba, Feb 5: Samba police today claimed to have detained a notorious criminal against whom warrant under Public Safety Act (PSA) were already issued by the District Magistrate (DM) Samba.
Police spokesman said that in order to curtail the activities of hardcore Criminal namely Mohd Irshad alias Shadu of W.No. 6, Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, District Samba, who is involved in number of criminal activities and is a great threat to the life and liberty of the people of District Samba particularly Bari Brahmana area, a special team of Bari Brahmana police station under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba and under the supervision of DySP Sunil Kesar-SDPO Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector Darshan Singh-SHO Bari Brahmana was constituted and the arrest of the said accused person was affected.
Police spokesman said that the said criminal is a habitual criminal and his activities are prejudicial to the maintenance of Law and Order. The motive of the subject is not only to create terror among the peaceful and law abiding citizens of the town but also to form biggest criminal gang by encouraging criminal minded person to join with him. The criminal activities of the arrested criminal are posing great threat to the public peace and tranquillity.
Spokesman further said that Shadu is involved in a number of heinous cases registered against him at Bari Brahmana/Vijaypur and in District Jammu which included FIR No 98/2010 under sections 458, 336, 323/34 of RPC of Bari Brahmana police station, FIR No. 67/2012 under sections 341, 382, 323 of RPC of Bari Brahmana police station, FIR No. 135/2012 under section 452, 323, 147, 148 of RPC of Vijaypur police station, FIR No. 27/2013 under section 307, 452, 323/34 of RPC, 4/25/30 Arms Act of Bari Brahmana police station, FIR No. 122/2015 under sections 452, 354 of RPC of Bari Brahmana police station, FIR No. 51/2016 under sections 376, 342, 323 of RPC of Channi Himmat police station, FIR No. 186/2017 under sections 452, 323/34 of RPC of Bari Brahmana police station, FIR No. 23/2018 under sections 454, 380 of RPC of Bahu Fort police station, FIR No. 128/2018 under section 4/25 Arms Act of Bari Brahmana police station.
The warrant of arrest under detention in PSA against the accused has been issued by DM Samba. The accused was absconding and was evading his arrest since the issuance of his warrant. For the apprehension of the accused, teams were constituted many times but he remained successful in giving slip to police parties. The said accused was finally arrested by Bari Brahmana police and lodged at Sub-Jail Hiranagar.
