Horizon Cricket club & Road Safety Cricket XI secure win

JAMMU, Feb. 5: Horizon Cricket Club and Road Safety Cricket eleven registered their win against KC Cricket Academy and have secured their entery in the next stage of ongoing 5th Road & Safety T20 Cricket Championship at KC Sports Ground Jammu. The tournament is being organized by the Transport Department in collaboration with KC Sports Club Jammu under the chairmanship of Dr.SP Vaid Transport Commissioner of J&K. RK bhat SSP is the organizing secretary whereas Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer and former Ranji Player is the coordinator of the event. Batting first, Horizon Club scored 188 runs in stipulated 20 over's for loss of 8 wickets with Satta (56), Wasim (46) and Umran (23) were the main scorers. Shubam and Harvinder took 2 wickets while Ritik,Saqib, and Gourav took 1 wicket each. KC Cricket Academy in reply could not chased the target and managed to score 85 runs in 14 overs by losing all wickets and lost the match by 103 runs. basit was the top scorer with 25 runs, gourav 13 and Shubam 11 runs .Skipper Ashish Singh took 4 important wickets , Piyush took 2 wickets while Sanam and Satta took 1 wicket each. In another match Road Safety XI scripted a comfortable win against Secretariat XI. Batting First Road & Safety made 123 runs in 20 over's for 9 wickets with Hinan (42 runs), Arvind (23 runs) and Masoom made 13 runs. From bowling side Yasir took 3 wickets, Mehraj took 2 wickets, while Tahir,Adil and Haseeb claimed 1 wicket each. In reply Secretariat XI could not chase the target and managed to score 98 runs in 20 over's by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 25 runs. Imtiaz 20, Haseeeb 14 and Mohsin 12 runs were the main scorers.
