| Jammu, Feb 5: Senior Congress leader Arun Kumar Sharma toured block Purmandal and addressed series of meetings in Kandi belt of the block. Sharma during his visit of remote areas held several meetings in different villages including Lovely, Sangar, Nagrota and interacted with youth as well as weaker sections of the society. During interactions, people of the area apprised their leader about major problems of roads, ration, electricity poles, demand for setting up Village Defence Committees (VDCs) was raised at village Nagrota (Utter Behani) besides fertilizer for farmers was also demanded. Addressing the meetings, Arun Kumar Sharma criticized the previous legislator for deliberately ignoring the area. He appealed the people to support Congress in the coming Assembly election. He made a commitment with the people that if we voted to power, the Congress will include these villages under RBA category. |
