Militants hurl grenade at CRPF camp in Kulgam, jawan injured
2/6/2019 7:18:41 PM
A paramilitary trooper was injured on Wednesday (February 6) after suspected militants hurled a grenade on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Laroo area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district.

Militants threw a grenade towards the 18 Battalion CRPF camp, causing splinter injuries to one security force personnel. The injured trooper was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Following the incident, security forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants responsible for the surprise attack.

This is not the first time suspect militants in Jammu and Kashmir have attacked CRPF forces. While usual conflicts are reported almost on a daily basis, three terrorists killed 5 soldiers after hitting a Pulwama CRPF camp with a deadly suicide attack.

Just a few days ago, nearly after a year from the Pulwama terrorist attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested the person responsible for handling the three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists.

The agency arrested JeM operative Magray from Jammu. Security forces in the Valley have decided to crack down on a network of overground workers (OGW) or handlers, who supply information and material to terrorists.
