| Avalanche hits Police Post at Jawahar Tunnel, 10 cops missing | | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, Feb 7: At least 10 Jammu Kashmir Police cops went to missing after a massive snow avalanche hits a police post at Jawhar tunnel in South Kashmir's Qazigund.
Reports said that snow avalanche hit yhe police post when cops were emptying it as per the directions of top officails. They said that ten police personnel are missing after the avalanche hit the police post. DIG CRPF confirmed the incident and said that rescue teams have been despatched for rescue but the continuous snowfall is hampering the rescue operation.
Earlier a snow avalanche had hit the Jawhar tunnel and blocked its north tube. 10 persons including 04 Police personals, 02 dog squad officials of Police, 02 fire service men and 02 prisoners have got trapped inside the tunnel.
Rescue teams are unable to reach the spot beacuse of continuous heavy snowfall. DC Anantnag confirmed the incident taht they are getting reports that 10 cops of police have gone missing. "we have launched rescue operation" he said. |
