DSEJ calls students to avail benefits under PMSSS

Jammu, Feb 7: An awareness programme cum workshop of all the Chief Education Officers, DIET Principals and newly promoted CEOs was held in the Conference Hall of Directorate with Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta in the chair.
While addressing Director School Education, Jammu asked the participants to make awareness of this scheme among their respective areas of jurisdiction so that the benefit of scheme reaches at the gross root level amongst the eligible/ needy students so that the dream of the Prime Minister for which this scheme has been launched be realised.
She further stated that this will provide a platform to the poor students to pursue education in order to achieve their goals and contribute in the national progress.
Prof. Ajit Angral, Retd. College Principal who was the resource person on the occasion dwelt in detail each and every aspect of this scheme and stated that any 10+2 pass out student of J&K State from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools with family income upto 8 Lakh per annum can avail the scholarship by getting registered online only on the portal of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
While concluding the programme, Director School Education, Jammu thanked the resource person and requested him to conduct such workshops in all the districts and zones of Jammu Province. Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, Personnel Officer was also present on the occasion.
