Early Times Report
Billawar, Feb 7: Former minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma conducted 2 day extensive tour of Billawar constituency where he took stock of public grievances and attended many social and religious functions. While interacting with public at village, mela, uchapind, barota, daramni, kached, public highlighted the demand of non-availability of sugar at ration depots since last 3 months and further complained that in all blocks of the area MGnREGA payments are pending since last 3 years which is further worsening their living standards. People also complained that no progress has been made regarding developmental projects such as water , roads in their areas in last 4 years. People of Panchayat Kachade in tehsil ramkote made a demand of high school and also an animal dispensary in their area as 90 % population of the area depends upon livestock.
Dr. Sharma gave patience hearing to their demands and requested the Hon'ble governor to look in the demand of ration supply and Pending payments' under MGNREGA.
While addressing the people Dr Manohar said previous BJP govt has done nothing to showcase its achievements and that's why they adopt practice of deviating common masses from burning issues of unemployment, price rise, by dividing them on communal lines.Dr Sharma said the discrimination with jammu division and particular with kathua district also needed to be understood where unemployment is all time high and no job notification has been published in kathua district regarding teachers and SPO in particular.
He also assured the people of panchayat Kachade that one congress comes back in power their demands will be raised and fulfilled through proper channel.
