| Court awards life imprisonment in murder case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 7: Principal Sessions Judge Poonch Zabair Ahmed Raza today awarded life-imprisonment to Roop Singh facing trial in murder case.
Court observed that according to police case that on 25-07-2010 complainant Harnaam Singh presented a complaint in Police Station Poonch that accused Roop Singh on 25-07-2010 at 6:30 p.m attacked his father namely Santok Singh with intention to commit murder, leaving him seriously injured and later succumbed to injuries on spot. Police conducted the investigation and presented the challan in the court of Law.
Principal Sessions, sentenced the accused to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life and also to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000/- for the commission of offence u/s 302 RPC in default of time he shall further undergo imprisonment of life nature for one year.
He is also sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one month for the commission of offence u/s 341 RPC the sentences imposed upon the accused shall run concurrently. |
