GAD orders implementation of online processing of APS of KAS as per IAS

Jammu, Feb 7: General Administration Departm-ent (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir Government today ordered implementing online processing of Annual Performance Reports (APRs) of KAS officers on the pattern of IAS.
As per circular 8-GAD of 2019 Dated 07-02-2019 issued by the GAD in reference to circular no 12-GAD of 2018 dated 14.05.2018, GAD ordered implementing online processing of Annual Performance Reports (APRs) of KAS officers on the pattern of IAS - (SPARROW) obtaining of DSC.
"Among other things all the officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Adminis-trative Service, including the Junior Scale KAS officers, were directed to keep the APRs for the year 2017-18 on hold till the Software for online submission of APRs (SPARROW platform) is developed", reads the circular. It is also said in the circular that the software has now been developed, however, in view of the specific timelines of Initiation/ Review/ Acceptance in terms of APR.
Rules, it has been decided that the online filing of APRs shall be mandatory for all the KAS Officers, including Jr. Scale KAS Officers, from 2018-19 onwards.
In view of the above, all the officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, including the Junior Scale KAS officers, are enjoined upon to submit their APRs for the year 2017-18 as per the existing norms, reads the circular.
