AECC demands appointment of Technical Agriculture Director

JAMMU, Feb 8: Agriculture Employees Co-ordination Committee (AECC) a conglomerate of different gazetted and non-gazetted agriculture associations/unions has demanded appointment of Director Agriculture, Jammu of Technical Cadre from the Gazetted Agriculture Services. The AECC has shown resentment against appointment of Non-Technical Officer from Kashmir Administrative Services as Director Agriculture Jammu vide Government order no: GAD (Ser) Genl/204/2009 dated: 07.02.2019.
The speakers during meeting appealed the Hon'ble Governor Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik and Advisor to Hon'ble Governor (Agriculture) Krishnan Skandan, IAS to revert the above mentioned order to save the exploitation of Agriculture Professionals. The AECC Chairman, Pradeep Sharma said that the appointment of director from non-technical line will do injustice with the agriculture professionals and with farming community. The Agriculture Fraternity is already suffering since last 35 years due to non-conductance of DPC in the hands of the bureaucracy who have headed the Agriculture Production Department.
Those spoke on the occasion included Dr. Adil Rashid President J & K Agriculture Officers Association (Gazetted), Surinder Radotra, President JAKATA, Ramandeep Singh, Spoksperson JAKATA Working Committee, Uttam Chand Sharma, President, All J & K Agriculture Employees Association (AJKAEA), Devinder Singh Bittu, President Agriculture Workers & Casual Labour Union (AWCLU), AECC Members A. H. Salaria, Balkrishan Chandan and A. K. Dhar. Members of All Associations, Officers and Employees of all cadres of the department in large number attended the meeting. Later a Protest Demonstration was held in the Lawns of Krishi Bhawan to register their concern and disappointment against the discriminatory order.
