| Thief nabbed red handed | | |

Udhampur, Feb 8: Udhampur Police today claimed to have nabbed a thief red handed at Sallian Talab, Udhampur.
Rajiv Pandey-Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur said that today Police Flying escort party headed by ASI Bashir Ali of Udhampur police station led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib-SHO Udhampur under the supervision of Zahid Saif Wani-DySP Hqrs. Udhampur apprehended a thief namely Kuldeep Kumar of Near CEO Office Dandyal red handed when he was trying to break open the lock of provision store at Sallian Talab Udhampur.The said accused has been arrested on the spot. In this connection, a case under FIR No. 44/2019 under sections 457, 380 and 511 of RPC has been registered in Udhampur police station and further investigation of the case is going on. |
