Jammu, Feb 9: A special valedictory function of NSS Winter Camp was organized by NSS wing of Government MAM College here today. The function began by welcoming the new Principal Dr. P.K. Sharma by Programme Officer, Prof. Devinder Kumar Sharma .The Program was followed by the proceedings done by Sonil Chowdhary, NSS Media Sec and Jahangir Ahmed Mughal. Dr. Geetanjali A. Rana, Dean Faculty of Arts, Cluster University, Chief Guest of the occasion, was welcomed by Dr. P.K Sharma, Principal.
A lecture was delivered by Dr. P.K Sharma on the work done by NSS in the college premises which included blood donation camp, distribution of dustbins. Chief Guest, Dr. Geetanjali A. Rana, addressed the gathering about the activities performed by NSS nationwide. She said "NSS camps can give great life experience in student's life. Events and activities held during the camp can change and shape their life." Prof. Devinder Kumar Sharma read a report which stated the details of winter camp and submitted it to the principal. The report stated as group cleanliness competition in different areas, where chemistry block cleaned by Sonil Chowdhary, Arjan Singh and Angrez Singh got first prize, Blood Donation Camp organized by NSS and Jammu Lions Blood Donors, Special Cleanliness Drive done by installation of dustbins in different areas, cleaning of Geology Lab, Chemistry Lab, Geography Lab, Physics Lab and Electronics Lab and Aledictory function of NSS Special Winter Camp 2019. |
