| YASHAN organise seminar on" Role of Youth in present day Society | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Feb 9: Poonch Youth Association For Service of Humanity and Nation organized one day seminar on Role of Youth in present day Society.
Seminar was held to create awareness among youth keeping present scenario where hatred, communal divide and falsehood has taken over and it is mainstream now with official patronage. During seminar various speaker deliberated on the issues faced by youth particularly in Pirpanjal areas.
Chief guest Basant Rath(IPS) IGP who is an outstanding speaker, intellectual, outspoken and known for his honesty in India. He is role model for youth of India particularly state and has shown his model of administration which has earned him respect and large fan following.
Rath spoke on length about role of youth in present day Society. Besides guest of honour District Magistrate and SSP Poonch Romesh Angral also spoke about role of youth.
Imtiaz Salaria while welcoming the guests and members of civil society said that youth is future asset of our nation. Proper guidance and moral education is key in shaping good citizens. He said that in this age where media is under corporate lobby and doing everything for TRPs, it is duty of youth to keep themselves informed and should have power to differentiate between falsehood and truth.
False Narratives are being created and spread on all kind of media including social media, youth must come forward to fight this menace. Drugs and terrorism funded by right wingers and extremists from all religions is another challenge youth has to fight. Besides social evils in society, moral education, environmental education, transparency in governance, strengthening of democracy are duties of youth to participate and contribute for better tomorrow and better India. |
