Jammu, Feb 9: Natrang felicitated actor Anil Tickoo here today at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu, who was conferred with the National Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Acting by His Excellency the President of India. Anil Tickoo created the history for being the first actor from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, who has been awarded with this highest honor of the country in the field of performing arts.
The honour was done by Natrang Director Balwant Thakur. Anil Tickoo started his acting career at a very young age in the year 1989 in Balwant Thakur's Theatre Camp-89 under the banner of Natrang and afterwards there was no look back and there-after he created history after history and played lead roles in Natrang's highly acclaimed plays like Bawa Jitto, Mahabhoj, Ghumayee, Bhoma, Ghera, 'Comedy of Terrors', 'Suno Eh Kahani', 'Bagia Bancha Ram Ki', 'Kanjoos', 'Fandi', 'Holi', 'Poster', 'Aap Hamare Hain Kaun, Rakt-Beej, Kava Chala Hans Ki Chaal, Bichoo, Mind Games, Sainyan Bhaye Kotwal. |
