People of this region have already rejected PDP's communal politics
Mehbooba has not locus standi to speak about "Chenab Valley"
2/9/2019 11:42:57 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 9: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, who is brazenly playing religious card to divide Jammu region on communal line, has no moral authority to talk about "ChenabValley" because residents of this mountainous region had out-rightly rejected PDP in the 2014 assembly elections.
Except Banihal and Bhaderwah assembly segments, PDP candidates had failed to get even respectable votes in the 2014 assembly elections so neither Mehbooba Mufti nor her party leaders have representative character to speak about residents of this region. Interestingly both the PDP candidates who had secured respectable votes namely B A Runiyal from Banihal and Mehboob Iqbal from Bhaderwah have already left the party.
Out of total five assembly seats of this region BJP had won three and Congress two. Another assembly seat Gool-Arnas which is divided between Reasi and Ramban districts was also won by Congress.
Residents of 'Chenab Valley' have always rejected divisive politics of PDP since its formation. PDP is trying to brazenly played communal card to make inroads in this region but every-time people have rejected party's divisive agenda. After announcement of divisional status of Ladakh region, PDP is already against, brazenly, started playing communal card is sensitive Chenab Valley.
By winning three out of five assembly segments of Chenab Valley, BJP has first claim to speak about this region because people of this belt had given maximum to BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
