MPEJ members castigate PDP, NC leaders
2/9/2019 11:57:25 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 9: Movement for Peace, Equality and Justiice (MPEJ) members today castigated what they called fake statements of Mehbooba Mufti and also NC Vice President Omar Abdullah regarding granting divisional status to the Chenab Valley & Pir Panjal regions, if they are voted to power in the ensuing assembly elections..
Ram Singh Chauhan and Kuldeep Kumar Rao said that the apathetic approach of NC as well as PDP towards both these regions during the tenure holding the reins of power in the state.
The duo maintained that it is only that both Omar Abdullah & Mehbooba Mufti have developed milk in their breasts for the sympathy of Pir Panchal and Chenab valley with eyes on vote politics, when Governor Administration has fulfilled long pending demand of the people of Ladakh region by grant of regional status to them which is a welcome step though very late.
They further said that NC of Abdullah's is responsible for denial and sabotaging the burning demand of people of Chenab Valley & Pir Panjal. In Kashmir, one Tehsil comprises of one District within a radius of 10 kms plain area whereas erstwhile District Doda comprises of 3-5 Tehsils with hilly, snow bound & inaccessible areas. Both these regions stand discriminated on Tourism point also they said. They further said that Omar Abdullah did not pay any heed when various deputations met him and demanded grant of Hill Development council to Chenab valley on the analogy of Ladakh Autonomous Hill development council.
