Teachers Federation organises Kartavya Bodh divas

POONCH, Feb 10: As a part of its organizational activities, Poonch unit of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh organized a simple and impressive programmee at Higher Secendary School Jhullas as "Kartavya Bodh Divas".
Sudarshan Sharma, (Prominent educationist) Principal HSS Poonch and also holding additional Charge of ZEO Poonch was the chief Guest on the occasion. Dr Dharminder Shastri, read the welcome address and highlighted the role of teachers in country's progress and prosperity and in social change. Sudarshan Sharma in his address said that the teachers' community has been playing appreciable role in country's progress since 1947 when we had very less literacy rate and lacking in basic infrastructure. Only due to effortless services of teachers the country has achieved a great success in country's education sector. He stressed that teachers must be intellectually alive and dedicated towards his duties for the betterment of the nation and for the society as well. He appreciated AJKLTF for organizing such a great programmee where teachers sit together and discuss their role in nation building.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudarshan Sharma said, "The role of Teachers is not only to shape the minds of the younger generation on positive lines, development of a scientific and humanistic attitude and temper and self discipline but also to play a key role in the modern society"
Darshan Bharti, State Vice President AJKLTF highlighted the activities of AJKLTF and asked the teachers community to become an agent of social development in guiding society towards their duties. Mohinder Bali, District President AJKLTF Poonch extended vote of thanks.
