Newly elected Sarpanchs, representatives go missing

Jammu, Feb 10: Many people living in far flung areas of Kishtwar District today hit out at newly elected Sarpanchs, Panches and Ward members over their failure to stay with the people in difficult times. Heavy snowfall and rains crippled life in the district but instead of coming to the rescue of the people, the elected representatives were missing from the ground.
Speaking to "Early Times" the people informed that after getting the votes, some Sarpanchs from rural areas of Kishtwar District including from Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan areas are missing from the respective Panchayats and are either enjoying at Kishtwar Headquarter or at Jammu while the leaving the people to fend for themselves.
The people said that there is no medicine or any other facilities available to the people in these far flung areas. No senior official, reports said, has been seen in the area.
Instead the elected representatives and officials have been posing on social media as the people continue to suffer on ground.
People living in Kishtwar vicinity said that the elected representatives to whom they voted are missing from the ground particularly the Sarpanchs from reserve wards added that there is immediate need to take steps with regard to providing Kersone oil, fire wood and ration to the people.
They said that Administration has totally fail to mitigate the people's problem.
Similar reports were received from Bhunzwah area of Kishtwar District where the authorities fail to restore the road beside health facilities in the area had also been affected due to non availability of doctors.
