After losing power Mehbooba remembers Ram Mandir
Praises Imran Khan, castigates Centre
2/10/2019 11:45:15 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 10: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the president of the Peoples Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti is leaving no opportunity to praise Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and hit out at the BJP led NDA government at the Centre.
"How times change. Centre's top priority is seemingly renaming historic cities & building Ram Mandir. On the other hand, heartening to see that Pak PM has initiated steps to name Baloki forest reserve after Guru Nanak ji & create a university under his name," Mehbooba tweeted on Sunday.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said that Mehbooba is "dragging religion into politics and is playing a communal card to restore the lost credibility of her party. She is making desperate attempts to somehow do something to save herself from getting isolated completely as many leaders have deserted her party."
"It seems she has conceded defeat even before the elections have been announced. She is praising Pakistan to appease the separatists, who she apparently believes would help her get votes," the analyst added.
He said that after losing power she is missing no opportunity to castigate the BJP, which supported her government for more than 3-years. "BJP had no faults till Mehbooba held the Chief Minister's office in J&K but after BJP pulled the plug it has become an evil p
Double Standards!
rty. Mehbooba is so angry with the BJP that she doesn't mind praising a Prime Minister of another country, which has been fighting a proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir for the past thirty years and has been bleeding India," the analyst added.
A politician said that when Mehbooba was the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir she on many occasions said that Pakistan is resorting to aggression and it should mend it ways. "After losing power Pakistan has become an ideal country and her own country has become an intolerant nation. What an irony!" the politician said, adding that "Mehbooba should be aware about the fact that building a Ram temple at Ayodha has always been on BJP's agenda and it's nothing new. Even when her party entered into power sharing agreement with BJP in 2015 everyone knew that saffron stands for Ram temple at Ayodha. It seems this factor did not matter till she enjoyed the ashirward of the top BJP leaders ruling the country but after losing power it has pinched her. It's nothing but a glaring example of double standards," the politician added.
He said that Mehbooba should stop looking towards Pakistan and concentrate on her party which is becoming irrelevant with each passing day. "She stoking communal passions and praising Pakistan won't help her cause," he said. "Such actions are bringing her real face to fore."
