Super sixes cricket tournament held at Jammu

Jammu, Feb 11: J&K Branch of the NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India hosted a Super Sixes cricket tournamentfor Chartered Accountants and CA Students at Green Fields Ground, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Eight Teams participated in the tournament consisting of Chartered Accountants and CA Students. Team Red was headed by CA Ram Krishan, Team Orange headed by CA Amit Gupta, Team Blue led by CA Jatin Malhotra & Team Green captained by CA. Shalay Razdan advanced into semi-finals by defeating Team Grey headed by CA Akhileshwar Slathia, Team Black headed by CA Lalit K Gupta, Team Yellow led by CA. Nakul Saraf & Team Purple headed by CA Akshay Jandyal respectively.
In the first Semi-final, Team Blue defeated Team Orange and in the Second Semi-final Team Green defeated Team Red and advanced into the finals for the summit clash. In the finals, Team Blue won the toss & elected to Bat and gave a target of 90 runs to Team Green. In Reply Team Green could score only 60 runs.
S K Sharma, Additional Commissioner Income Tax, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Sharma distributed the winning trophy among the winning Captain CA Jatin Malhotra. Other trophies were also distributed by Additional Commissioner Income Tax and Chairman of the Branch CA Ajay Kumar Gupta.
Best Batsman of the tournament was awarded to CA Chetan Sharma and the best bowler was presented to Udhay Manhas. Madhav, Archit, Udhay, CA. Shalay Razdan , CA Arun Sharma, CA Sahil Pandita and CA. Nitish Kumar were presented with man of the match awards for best performance of the tournament. CA Dharmveer Chopra was the top scorer and CA Ashwani Khajuria, CA. Sourav Mehta, CA Parveen Dogra stood as umpires in the matches. Secretary of the Branch CA Anish Abrol conducted the proceedings along with Treasurer of the Branch CA Jatinder Jaswal. The match was witnessed by families and CA students.
