Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 11: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday filed two separate cases on the charges of raising of anti-national slogans, and scuffle between stranded Kashmiri passengers and students of Science College Jammu.
"Two separate cases under FIR numbers 14/2019 under sections 147, 148, 336, 427, 124, 341 (against those who raised anti-national slogans and indulged in violence) and 15 /2019 under section 336 (scuffle between the students and the Kashmiri passengers which led to disturbance)," said a police officer.
SSP Jammu, Tejinder Singh said two separate cases were registered and investigations have been taken up.
"We have taken cognizance and those raising anti-national slogans are being segregated," SSP said.
Earlier in the day, the Kashmiri-bound passengers who are stranded for a week raised anti-government slogans near Canal road in Jammu "to grab authorities' attention". They were demanding either the restoration of strategic Srinagar-Jammu highway or airlifting them to Srinagar.
In the meantime, clashes erupted between the students of Science College Jammu and the passengers from Kashmir, resulting in injuries to several persons and damage to many cars.
