| AAP extends support to protesting NRHM employees | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 13: Expressing concern over the neglect of NRHM employees who have to sit on fast unto death for their genuine demands, the state unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that it is most painful to see the so called priorities sectors like health and education are getting harassed by the ruling class.
AAP leaders Deep Singh and Paramveer Singh said this after meeting with the protesting NRHM employees near Press Club of Jammu.
The AAP leaders further said that during their meeting, the fasting NRHM employees and their other associates revealed that they are rendering their dedicated services towards state health sector since last more than 12 years against very low wages within tough conditions of rural and hilly areas while struggling for getting justice from the erstwhile state governments of NC-Congress & BJP-PDP but failed to get the genuine relief.
We strongly condemn the anti-people attitude of NC-Congress & BJP-PDP state governments of the past for not settling the demands of NRHM employees despite giving them repeated assurances, AAP leaders added.
No doubt, the Governor's administration has to work hard to address the chaos around created due to the corrupt & anti-people policies of the previous governments but neglect of NRHM employees can multiply the miseries of state residents particularly belonging to the rural and tough hilly areas, AAP leaders stated. AAP fully supports the genuine demands of the NRHM employees and appeals that Governor's administration must address their grievances without any further delay, AAP leaders added. |
