Overconfidence lets restive ias topper to float into the dreams of heaven
2/14/2019 11:00:13 PM
L.M.S PARIHAR

He may have been an intelli-
gent student or fellow but today I really feel pity over the thinking of an IAS topper from Kashmir who was recently in news for quitting the most respectable and high profile job of Indian civil services. Though I fully supported his thought earlier as it is not bad for well qualified and intelligent ones to join the active politics for streamlining the system, but what is a matter of great concern here which pained everyone is the specific reason given by him behind quitting such a great and respectable profession.
As a social activist, I have been keenly watching & highlighting the Kashmir related matters since early Nineties and introspected that this Ex-IAS officer like a few earlier top bureaucrats, has also fallen into the traps of hardliners fringe elements of valley. I would like to give an opinion to this Mr. confuse who seems to be a fresh sympathizer of anti India Brigade, who has washed away all the hopes and desires of his parents, teachers and family members as well as the society whom he once had credited for behind his success.
What happened in just 9 years of his favorable place of postings and that too in his home state far away from what he calls Hindu fringe elements that led him to forget the brutal killing of his own father by extremists, besides, so many other innocent killings in Kashmir. At what point of time he was tortured or humiliated by Hindutva forces whom he blames for Kashmir disturbances. Would Mr. Confuse answer me which Hindu officer or leader has ever tried to harass him?
Had he listened to the advice of Hon'ble Governor for rethinking his biggest blunder of quitting, he would have once happened to be instrumental to change the destiny of several Kashmiri's. He would have secured the future generation of Kashmir by not letting them fall into the trap of those politicians and separatists, who are today hell bent upon ruining this heaven on earth (J&K). No doubt he may be making Mr.Kejriwal his role model and dreaming to be a chief minister one day or thinking to be another godfather of Kashmir like Gillani, but still he would again have to spread a bowl before others for his survival. One really feels pity on his thinking since he being an intellectual, could not recognize the real enemy of peace in Kashmir instead he supports those who have looted and enjoyed the bounties of valley as well as trampling on the bodies of innocent Kashmiri's. Had he been a perfect and absolute sincere officer in the true sense of words, he would have certainly changed the life of its own people. Even in this era when the world is highly appreciating the Bharat for peace, development and various other reforms, people like him are encouraged and supported by our energetic, honest, daring and selfless Prime Minister. Mr. confuse, instead of raising fingers, ought to have strengthen the hands of P.M Modi through his valuable suggestions for meaningful dialogue to bring peace in the region.
It sounds strange that the iconic IAS topper is too looking at issues from religious and sectarian mindset. For many, he is not much different from those elements who believed in Kashmir's independence. Things won't move the way he thinks but it is a huge loss to mainstream forces in Kashmir who still find India a much better place to live as compared to other Islamic countries. A section of intelligentsia also smells some hidden agenda behind his quitting such a prestigious job. This also means that rumors and the petty cheap politics of valley have dashed his hopes and aspirations to the ground .It is yet high time for him to realize the truth before setting his feet on the roads of Kashmir.
Mr. Confused, If you think you have sacrificed your job only for Kashmiri people, then please tell us how many times have you gone through the streets of Down town or other parts of Shopian or Baramulla for counseling these so called misguided youths.
Have you or your mentors ever restrained the stone pelters from keeping away from the encounter sites.
It is a well known law of science that to every action there is equal and opposite reaction. Similarly if you throw stones on someone he will do everything to save his life and for this either he or you will have to bear the loss.
Being a sympathizer of misguided pro-separatist, have you ever condoled over the loss of any nationalist family member who also have lost their beloveds while protecting & safeguarding the lives of common Kashmiris, the tourists on which Kashmir survives, their bureaucrats and even their selfish politicians in the hands of the terrorists or their well-wishers. You didn't talk of terrorists killing of unarmed Kashmiris and also didn't comment on brutal killing of abducted local army personnel and Policemen by the terrorists. Even those Tom, Dick & Harry crying for solving Kashmir problem or having sympathy towards the terrorists & their first line supporters (stone throwers), just have gained mastery in befooling the poor ignorant Kashmiri people. Since Independence, the State has been ruled for 63 long years by the Kashmiri leadership itself, either alone or in alliance with other parties.
Even after occupying the top hot seats of politics & the religious fields, they have never tried to provide the basic amenities and proper education to the people of Kashmir and instead just provoked the religious sentiments of common masses. Those who had ruled the State and enjoyed the benefit of "serving the people" in all these years never forget to cry hoarse about the maltreatment of Kashmiris and alienating them. It is not hidden from anyone that a few families alone have ruled J&K for last 68 long years and thus they cannot be absolved of the 'blame' for Kashmir's alienation including militancy. In a way all Kashmir based parties are a part of the problem. Abdulla's have always remained part of Govt. of India, incidentally both in NDA & UPA regime.
It is not that Central Govt. had alienated people of Kashmir because most of the time the political leadership of Kashmir was at the helm of affair in the State and putting blame on the centre is just to pass the buck. How can they forget that the continuing bloodshed in Kashmir has roots in manipulation of elections and selling the dream of separation just to pander to pro Pakistan sentiments to checkmate Delhi? Had they worked for the welfare & better future of their own people, Kashmir would have really turned into a haven on earth. It can be clearly understood that the so called slogans of Autonomy or self rule is just to sell Old wine in new bottle. It is an irony that common masses including the intelligentsia of Kashmir like this Ex IAS topper also fell into trap and can't have guts to speak openly against the real culprits of Kashmiris and instead howl on those who nourish them and safeguard their interests.
In another recent revelation by Mr. Confused, he gave a statement showing his deep concern to Kanahiya and his Tukre Tukre brigade and termed their sedition as travesty of free speech. I don't think any need to tell here, that the sedition charges have been leveled on them for sloganeering against anti India and Pro-Pak, thereby, hurting the sentiments of all Nationalists & disrespecting the law of the land. I want them to show the real face of humanity and democracy where they were neither tortured nor hanged for waging a war against the nation where they eat and live. Had the same thing happened somewhere else in some other Islamic country or in China, what reward they would have been awarded.
It really pained me like so many of your well-wishers that you have fallen into the hands and theory of either draconian separatist or the communist philosophy. Logically speaking if you really care for the bright future of your people and want to clean the dirty politics of Kashmir then I wish u a great success in future. Time has now come that people of Kashmir and those who really care for them need to introspect that those who ruled their state have only looted them.
