| Matir Patar Pujan Divas celebrated | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 14: Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Ambphalla run by Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti J&K today celebrated Matir Pitar Pujan divas in the school premises.
According to press release, Pardeep Kumar, Sangathan Mantri, BSS, MLC Ramesh Arora and former MLA Rajesh Gupta graced the occasion. The function started with lighting of lamps along with religious hymns.
Students of the school through the medium of cultural song expressed their respect to the blessings of their parents in day today life. The 'Matra Pitra Poojan Diwas' was aimed at doing away with the "western concept" and use the occasion to worship parents.
Ramesh Arora asked the parents to imbibe values in their children so that they could lead their lives successfully. He also praised the school authorities for organizing such type of functions and rich contribution to the society. The Principal of the school, Reena Rajput and President of the management committee of the school presented vote of thanks. The function culminated with recital of Vande Matram song. |
