Poonch, Feb 14: Accusing Deputy Commissioner Poonch and Public Health Engineering Department Poonch of inaction , Inhabitants of Dhara, Fatehpur and Danna Dhakran said, the people are ceaving for drinking water.
They said Water Supply Scheme Dhara-Fatehpur is dilapidated and nonfunctional since its inauguration.
According to the sources, the scheme was started in 2006-07 which was inaugurated in about 2010 and was closed in 2014-15 which is still failed to provide a single drop of water to a single beneficiaries.
According to some locals even they have taken up the matter to deputy commissioner Poonch many a times but deputy commissioner but all in vain.
Locals said, PHE department Poonch has embezzled millions of rupees from this scheme and no investing agency is taking care of the issue. Locals have appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik to constitute a team to investigate the matter and take strict action against involved officials of PHE department. |
