Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: Communist Party of India (CPI) expressed its pain and anguish at the dastardly terror attack at Lethpora in Kashmir on CRPF Convoy on 14th February.
According to press release, a meeting was held in the Party office at Shahidi Chowk Jammu under chairperson ship of Com. Naresh Munshi.
This terrorist attack, whose responsibility the Pakistan based Jaish Mohammad terrorist group has taken, has resulted in great human loss. More than 45 CRPF personnel died in this powerful terror attack as also scores were injured. The party while condemning this wanton attack expresses its full solidarity and sympathy with the families of these martyred jawans.
The party calls upon the central government to take all necessary steps for national security and the security of jawans. The party at this hour of grief wishes to reiterate its often stated position, that violence and violent activities are not going to take us anywhere, on the contrary such mindless violence will complicate matters further, which in turn will create difficulties for the people.
The party while condemning the terror activities, calls upon all sides to pool together collective efforts at bringing down the violence levels, which in turn could create conditions in which all matters could be sorted out, in the meantime Party calls upon all sides to maintain peace and calm by maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood at all levels in the state.
