3/14/2019 11:35:56 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 14: Former Minister Choudhary Lal Singh has already announced to contest Parliamentary election from Udhampur-Kathua seat but BJP is still trying to mollify him against raising banner of revolt. Lal Singh has announced to contest himself from Udhampur-Kathua seat and former IGP Kamal Saini as party candidate for Jammu-Poonch.
Credible sources said as a last attempt to persuade Lal Singh against contesting elections some senior BJP leaders have approached former minister with some assurances. Hoping that party will ultimately succeed in convince its former minister, BJP is hesitating to take action against its former minister, the 'outspoken ex-MLA from Basohli and veteran politician who has already given political shape to his non political organization "Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan".
Credible sources said that chances of patch-up with BJP are bleak so Sangathan is preparing to contest coming elections on its own. During the last two months, Singh has been approaching different sections of the society before formally launched his political party.
On April 13, 2018 Lal Singh was forced to resign from council of ministers for supporting the demand of CBI probe into infamous Rassana case. On May 29, 2019 Singh along with state BJP president Ravinder Raina met party chief Amit Shah. On July 22, Singh floated Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan- apolitical organization with political agenda.
