Early Times Report
udhampur, Mar 15: Two week after Early Times published a news about Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Patnitop Development Authority (PDA), Rajinder Singh's overstay on his post even after the authorities issued his transfer orders, the official left his office yesterday. Pertinently, Singh had ignored that court had cleared his stay and directed him to join at his new place of posting.
Surprisingly, the outgoing officer had floated tenders worth lakhs of rupees violating the norms as no official under transfer is supposed to float any tender.
Sources informed that the officer remained at the prize post by using his political influence.
More insiders informed that Singh had attained notoriety for permitting illegal construction of hotels in the famous hill station.
He was transfered on 24-09-2018 as there were several complaints against him involving corruption to permit illegal constructions, illegally handover the budget accumulation building etc
However, he did not join the new place of posting and managed a stay which was ultimately cleared about four weeks ago but the CEO still continued to hold office in violation of court orders.
It is pertinent to mention here that the green zone of Patnitop is a renowned hill station visited by a number of tourists.
People alleged that the PDA takes bribe to allow illegal constructions and that is why the CEO was reluctant to leave chair.
