Three drug peddlers held in two separate incidents

Samba, Mar 17: Continuing its onslaught against the drug smugglers on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma-Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, District Police Samba arrested three drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana police stations and recovered 160 Intoxicant Capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) and over 2 Kg Ganja from their possession in separate incidents.
Police spokesman said that today a Police Party of Vijaypur police station headed by Inspector Rakesh Bamba-SHO Vijaypur under the supervision of S. Baljeet Singh-SDPO Vijaypur during Naka checking at NHW near Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur, intercepted a pedestrian who tried to run on seeing Cops.
"During frisking of said person 160 intoxicants (Parvon Spas Plus) was recovered from his possession," said spokesman adding that the accused person identified as Saleem Hussain of Rajpur Koular, Bari Brahmana was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 38/2019 under section 8/21/22 NDPS ACT has been registered in Vijaypur police station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, district police Samba claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered over 2 Kg Ganja from their possession.
Police spokesman said that two drug peddlers have been arrested in the jurisdiction of Bari Brahmana and recovered over 2 Kg 280 gram Ganja from their possession.
Police spokesman said that a Police Party of Bari Brahmana police station headed by Inspector Darshan Singh-SHO Bari Brahmana in co-ordination with District Special Branch (DSB) Samba under the supervision of Sunil Kesar-SDPO Bari Brahmana during patrolling in Kartholi Dollian area, Bari Brahmana intercepted two persons who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
"During frisking of the said persons, 2 Kg 280 gram was recovered from the possession of both persons namely Chotu Kumar of Rampur, Bihar presently staying at Dollian, Bari Brahmana and Azadi Sahu of Patna, Bihar presently staying at Dollian, Bari Brahmana. The said drug peddlers were arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 35/2019 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Bari Brahmana police station and investigation started.
