Arrangements for annual "Holy Chhari Yatra" to Purmandal discussed

JAMMU, Mar 18: A combined meeting of the members of Purmandal-Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Management Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha and Langar Sewa Samiti Bari Brahmna under the chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, former minister and President of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust was held at Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir complex Gandhi Nagar in which other prominent members of district Samba also participated.
The proper arrangements for the grand success of "Annual Chhari Mubarak Yatra" to Purmandal/Utterbehni Shrines followed by 3-days fair to be organized on "Chaitra Chaturdashi" falling on April 4 onwards were discussed in detail.
The major decisions taken in the meeting include cleanliness drive at Devika (Gupt Ganga) Purmandal, around Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir and enroute will be organized before the "Holy Chhari Yatra" while Deputy Commissioner, Samba should be requested to appoint a Nodal Officer to coordinate the concerned departments and other agencies to make the necessary arrangements enroute and at Purmandal during the 3-days programme to be organized on 4th, 5th and 6th of April. Besides, other points were also discussed and adopted during the meeting.
The meeting also resolved that the CEO of Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority and Tourism Department be requested to take immediate necessary steps for making the necessary arrangements for public convenience by renovating and making the washrooms functional in a proper way which are in bad shape at present and also other requirements at the earliest.
SC Rekhi, General Secretary of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust was requested to convey the decisions taken in the meeting to all the concerned authorities. In the end, all the devotees were appealed to join the historical Chhari Mubarak Yatra and have blessings of Lord Shiva.
