Sanskriti Manch organises Shaheedi Divas

Jammu, Mar 23: On theoccasion of Shaheedi Divas in the memory of Shaheed-E-Aazam Bhagat Singh & renowned revolutionary poet Avtaar Singh 'Paash' SMJ organised fifth series of "BasantKeHarkare" in Press Club here today. In this programme a poster exhibition of Bhagat Singh's thoughts and couplets of Paash's poetry was held.
In his welcome address SMJ President Abhimanu Sharma said that Manch is dedicated to the progressive values of society. "BasantKeHarkare" is basically a curriculum on a young poet whose poetry depicts the voice of masses.
In this series a research paper based on the poetry of a young poet, an exhibition of his poems, poet's recitation of poetry is conducted.
SMJ is a joint bench of all the languages,so we need the eternal support from all the people who want to uplift the common persons of our society.
An eminent poet and a research scholar on Bhagat Singh and Paash, Manoj Sharma, presided over the function. The fifth series of "BasantKeHarkare" was on young poet and progressive cultural activist "Sanjay Gupta"Sanjay recited some of his poems in this programme.
On this occasion a senior writer Maharaj Krishan Santoshi presented his paper.He elaborated the poetic journey of Sanjay Gupata in the horizon of contemporary hindi poetry.
In this paper, he underlined that we can notdefeate the urge to live even during adverse circumstances ofhuman psychology.
This type of poetry assures this universal truth. All the conspiracies of ruling forces can not defeat inner goodness of masses.
In his presidential address, Manoj Sharma emphasised on Bhagat Singh's philosophy and highlighted some hidden aspects of his life. He also briefed about the poetic peregrination of Paash.
He said in the poems of Sanjay, we facethe cruelity of our time. Sanjay must take the paper of Santoshijee in his forthcoming book. He said, we must dwell on the concerns of this poetry.
Renowned writers, journalists, theatre persons and artists attented this function.
SMJ General Secretary Sheikh Mohd. Kalyan presented vote of thanks.
