Terror hideout busted in Shopian, 'incriminating' material recovered

Shopian, Mar 25: A terrorist hideout was busted in Jammu and Kashmir's Shermal Shopian. "Incriminating" material and other items have been recovered from the site, an official said. Hideout has been blasted so that terrorist can't use the hideout in future, he said. Jammu and Kashmir police has filed an FIR has and further investigation is going on, he added.
Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested three terrorists affiliated to the proscribed terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) near a check-point at Narabal on the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway based on a credible input. Incriminating material, including ammunition and live rounds, were recovered. The police have registered a case.
"Three car-borne terrorists affiliated with proscribed terror outfit JeM (were) arrested by police and security forces at Lawaypora (on Srinagar-Baramulla road) (based) on a credible input today," a police spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said ammunition, including live rounds, was seized from the three terrorists. They were identified as Rayees Hurrah, Shahid Bhat and Ishaq Lone.
Last week, a joint party of police and security forces busted a hide-out in a residential house in Yaripora area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. Police claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition including grenades and live rounds. "Police has registered a case in the matter and investigation has been initiated. One person Mohammad Ayoub Rather of Yaripora has been arrested in this connection," official had said.
At least 20 terrorists, including eight from Pakistan, have been neutralised in the last 21 days - since the terror attack in Pulwama which had claimed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans, the Indian Army said on Monday.
