Vanshwad stigma - Congress not the exception
Indian polity is inflicted
R.B. Suri3/25/2019 10:46:39 PM
Indian polity is inflicted with many a diseases which include the "VANSHWAD", Nepotism, Favoritism, Corruption,Black mailing, various scams involving lakhs of crores of rupees etc. etc. This is unfortunate part of the story which is very painful. We all should be ashamed of the same. Indian National Congress (INC) is not the exception but other political parties on the Indian polity are also moving in this direction fastly which should be made to halt immediately in the overall interests of the nation. All the political parties on the Indian polity should apply the brakes so as to enable the country to go forward in this competitive World without any unnecessary permutations and combinations. It is alleged generally that the INC has ruled this nation for more than 48 years or so in the last seven decades. After the Independence of the country in 1947, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru became the Prime Minister of India followed by the members of his Vansh - Madam Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi ruled this nation for years together. In UP there remained the dynasty rule of the family of Mulayam Singh Yadav, After Mulayam Singh Yadav, his son Akhlesh Yadav remained the Chief Minister of UP for years together. Out of the total strength of the Lok Sabha to the order of 543, Mulayam's family once gave three Lok Sabha MPs- Mulayam Singh. After the Independence of the country in 1947, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru became the Prime Minister of India followed by the members of his Vansh - Madam Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi ruled this nation for years together.
The family of the former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi once gave four Lok Sabha MPs- Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Maeneka Gandhi and her son Varun Gandhi. It were voters of this country who elected them as the MPs but they were not thursted upon the top. Not only this, once the former Speaker of the Lok Sabha Sangma and his daughter represented in the Lok Sabha. Apart from this, the former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha and his son Jayanti Sinha have also made their entry into the Lok Sabha after having won the general elections. They came to the Indian Parliament after having contested and winning the general elections. Out of the total strength of the Lok Sabha-543, the aforesaid four families out of the total population of the country more than 130 crores, were having the strength of 11 MPs of Lok Sabha at a one given point constituting 2 percent which was very strange.
In Andhra Pradesh, N.T. RAMA RAO remained the Chief Minister first and then followed by his Son in Law Chander Babu Naidu who ruled Andhra Pradesh for the years and is in place even today.
In Jammu and Kashmir, Shiekh Mohammed Abdullah ruled the state twice followed by his son Dr. Farooq Abdullah ruled the state of Jammu and Kashmir thrice. Shiekh's Son in Law Ghulam Mohammed Shah also ruled the state of Jammu and Kashmir from 1984-1986 when Dr. Farooq Abdullah was dismissed by the then Governor of the state Jag Mohan. After Dr. Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah remained as the Chief Minister of the state in alliance with the INC up to 2014. Now once again, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has announced that he would like to go to the Indian Parliament and made the way for Omar Abdullah to become the Chief Minister of the state in alliance with the INC, if voted to power by the people of the state .
Mufti Mohammed Sayeed also ruled the state of Jammu and Kashmir twice - first during 2002 to 2005 in alliance with INC and National Panthers Party and then 2015 to 2016 in alliance with saffron party BJP under Agenda of Alliance till his un sudden death in January 2016. After the un sudden death of Mufti Sahib, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti took over the reigns of the state of jammu and Kashmir as the Chief Minister in an alliance with BJP and remained in power up to June 20 last year when the Governor's rule was imposed in the state and the then Governor of the state N.N. Vohra took over the State administration. Same is the case with state of Oorissa, where Naveen Patnaik is the Chief Minister these day since more than fifteen years. His father Biju Patnaik who was the very famous politician of the country also remained as the Chief Minister of the state more than a decade or so. Bihar was ruled by Lalu Parshad Yadav as the Chief Minister thrice and his wife Rabari Devi also ruled the state of Bihar for more than five years. Not only this their son Tejasvi Yadav governed Bihar in the capacity as the Deputy Chief Minister under Nitish Kumar. Similar is the case of Karnatka which was ruled by the former Prime Minister of India H.D. Deva Gowda in the capacity of the Chief Minister of the state. These days, his son Kumaraswami is the Chief Minister of Karnatka in an alliance with INC. In the parliamentary democratic system of government, the people of the country elect their representatives to represent them in the Lok Sabha or the State Assemblies as they have the fundamental right to choose their representatives as per their choice and wishes. This system of the governance is going in our country since Indian Constitution came into being on January 1950 when India became the Sovereign and the Republic on this Globe. The representatives of the various political parties on the Indian polity cannot become the MLAs or MPs on their own but they are always elected by the people of this country in the elections conducted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) as per the Rules and the Procedures as laid down in the Peoples' Representation Act of the land to run the State and the Central Governments as also while remaining in opposition to oppose the wrong doings of the governments of the time. When the people of the country at large elect their representatives lawfully as per the laws of the land, then the question of VANSHWAD does not come into the picture at all. The political parties in the country make the issue of VANSHWAD unnecessarily and make hue and cry on this score without having applied their minds properly. For the sake of cheap politics, they indulge in such like activities and exploit the people of the country to en cash their vested interests. Needless to mention here that every leading politician of the country wants that his family enjoys the fruits of this parliamentary democracy in this country thereby side lining the desirous common people to enjoy the power. This is going on in this country since seven decades after partition in 1947 when India got the freedom from the British slavery. It is alleged that INC is a party of VANSHWAD in the country whereas it is not a fact as other political parties as discussed in the preceding lines of this article are also sailing in the same boat. In fact this should not be there as the parliamentary democracy means something else. The nation needs the overall development as also the security of course. There should not be mudslinging over the armed forces of the land. The country should always be at the back and call of the security forces by all means. We are proud to have the best Army and their Chief are quite brave and wise enough to deal with any eventuality.
