Reasi, Mar 25: District Administration Reasi has literally defeated 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' campaign as the Bus Stand near renowned Shiv Khori Shrine in Tehsil Ransoo of District Reasi sans public toilet facility compelling people to ease themselves in open.
Sources told Early Times lakhs of devotees pay obeisance at Shiv Khori Shrine every years. Buses plying on this route stop at this Bus Stand but absence of toilet facility put the tourists in difficult situation. "The Bus Stand was constructed nearly 5 years ago which is 3 kms from Ransoo Market where a toilet structure was raised but till date it is incomplete mocking at the hyped Swatchta Abhiyan," they said adding although three departments are directly involved in the upkeep of the reverred Shine including District Administration Reasi, Tourism Department, Shirne Board but nobody bothered address the lack of public toilet facility.
People of the area demanded immediate completion of toilet structure in the Bus Stand and urged the Governor to take strict action against the concerned authorities who deliberately overlooked this important need of the public. |
