BJP high command approaches Cong stalwart Sham Lal Sharma
Top RSS leader playing role of mediator

Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 25: Facing allegation of pursuing pro-separatist agenda, Congress is likely to face major setback because BJP high command has opened channel of communication with Congress stalwart and pro-Jammu leader Sham Lal Sharma.
Although there is no confirmation about Sharma joining BJP during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally on March 8, it is confirmed that BJP high command has approached Sham Lal to join the party to aggressively pursue nationalist agenda in J&K.
Credible sources said that due to his pro-Jammu and pro-India stand, BJP high command is zeroing in on Sham Lal Sharma to convince him to join the party due to his clearity on many issues. "BJP high command was even ready to offer Jammu-Poonch seat to Sham Lal Sharma but he refused", sources said and added that during the last one week, a top RSS leader, who had served in J&K, had established contact with Sham Lal Sharma and restarted the process to convince him to join BJP. "Discussions with Sham Lal Sharma are going on but nothing has been materialized so far", a top Sangh leader, who did not wanted to the quoted, told.
Despite in Congress, Sham Lal Sharma is known for aggressively taking up Jammu's issue.
While BJP ministers were in power with PDP they had completely and shamelessly surrendered before Mehbooba Mufti but Sham Lal Sharma, despite minister in the government, always opposed anti-Jammu attitude of Kashmir centric. It was Sham Lal Sharma who had raised the demand of Hindu Chief Minister and also he snubbed those who had suffixed Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru with the title of Sahib.
