7th Academic Council meeting held at GCW Parade

Jammu, Mar 25: 7th Academic council meeting of GCW parade (An Autonomous) was held on 25th of march 2019. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Hemla Aggarwal, the principal of college. The meeting was attended by Ms Seema Shekhar, advocate, Prof. M.K. Jyoti, All HoDs , other nominated members, convener IQAC, members of IQAC and Dr. Sonia Khajuria member secretary were also present in the meeting. After having threadbare discussion on each and every agenda item, the council confirmed and approved most of the items listed on agenda.
Council approved the regulations for hostel, distribution of prizes to outstanding students in the field of sports, Cultural activities, NSS, NCC, Literary & Dramatics. Council also approved that college can invite sponsorships for scholarships to be offered to the Meritorious students. It was resolved that the gold medal be awarded to the Ist position holders in each course of study- Arts, Science, Commerce and BCA at UG & PG level.
Chairperson Dr. Hemla Aggarwal proposed small research projects be assigned to students in order to inculcate scientific temperament in them. She further urged that each department should have a club so that students can upgrade their skills by joining those clubs. She also informed that the outstanding work in the field of research by the teachers and students will be duly recognized and awarded.
