Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 25: COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE Entrance examination will be held on May 12, 2019 for admission into Engineering BE/B.Tech courses.
With 180 plus institutions and 21 Universities accepting ComedK and Uni- GAUGE scores, this has become the second largest multi-university private engineering exam in India after JEE.
Started as a simple concept of unifying Pvt Engineering colleges/ Universities into a single exam 4 years ago, the examination has enabled over half a million students to take the examination and subsequent admissions to premier engineering institutes.
With a reach of 140 cities and 400 test centres it has grown in strength over the last 4 years. "We envision amplifying our reach and enabling more students from all states to appear for this single credible, neutral, common entrance test exam.
Aspirants will have the chance to appear for at least 21 Private Universities and 200 colleges in India, offering at least 40,000 engineering seats, thereby minimizing the number of tests for students," says P Muralidhar CEO, ERA Foundation.
Dr Kumar, Executive Secretary COMEDK states, "Karnataka has been a pioneer in engineering education and ComedK has brought together Private colleges in the state onto a single platform. ComedK institutions have been promoting the cause of engineering aspirants for the last 14 years".
All candidates who have passed or are currently pursuing 10 +2 /PUC / any equivalent exam as approved by AICTE are eligible to apply for the entrance exam. Applicants need to register at www.unigauge.com or www.comedk.org or before 19th April 2019.
The entire application and exam process will be online. A detailed process guideline on the online exam and application process has been made available to students on www.unigauge.com. and www.comedk.org .
Students will be required to attend centralized counseling in Bangalore during the month of June /July, after they receive their COMEDK Rank Card.
Uni-GAUGE applicants have to apply directly to the respective Universities with their Uni-GAUGE score card and attend counseling in the University.
