Maiden meeting fails to yield outcome

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 26: Shattering of hopes of incharge cadres of Education Department, the Regularization Committee which was constituted by General Administration Department to address the issue which was lingering since decade has failed to yield any outcome in its maiden meeting. "The Committee was constituted with sole purpose to clear the regularizations cases of over 8000 thousand incharge cadres as no incharge officer has been regularized for last fifteen years. The Zonal Education Officers were last regularized in the year of 2006, Principals were regularized in 2007, lecturers and Head Masters in 2011, since then department did not bother to regularized its incharge cadres. Meanwhile hundreds of incharge officers were expired and more than two thousand have retired without their regularization till date," they said.
They further said that after long efforts of the teachers' community, the State Administrative Council had decided to regularize all incharge officers and for that General Administrative Department had constituted a Regularization Committee but a new issue was cropped up by the Committee which sought Vigilance Clearance of all those Incharge Officers and lecturers who have expired and retired since 2006 till date which ostensibly seems illogical. "Incharge Lecturers have completed all formalities and Directors of Jammu and Kashmir Divisions have submitted the posting detail, work and conduct, integrity etc. to Administrative Department but yet the process is being delayed with unknown reason," they said.
