Cong committed to development of Chenani: Vikramaditya
3/28/2019 11:03:49 PM
Early Times Report

CHENANI, Mar 28:Congress is committed to all round development of Chenani and its adjoining areas since the region has faced worst ever neglect of government in the last nearly five years of BJP's regime. This was stated by thesenior Congress leader and party candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Constituency Vikramaditya Singh while addressing a huge public gathering here on Thursday.
He castigated BJP for criminal neglect of this historically important region having tremendous potential as far as pilgrimage tourism is concerned despite having its governments placed at both the State and the Centre.
Vikramaditya vowed to transform the entire region as far as tourism, education, healthcare facilities, and basic amenities like potable water, electricity and roads infrastructure are concerned. He alleged that all these necessities of life were neglected in the recent past due to the inexplicable apathy of BJP leadership which is brazenly reaping the fruits of seeds sowed by the Congress party. "The glittering example of this fact is the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel which was conceived, planned and constructed during the tenure of Congress led UPA government but when the same was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the credit was taken by the BJP like in the cases of several other similar projects started and completed by the Congress across the nation", Vikramaditya said adding that Congress being the sole party having its credence across the length and breadth of the State and in the entire country has no match and the development carried out by the party in the past is in front of all.
"Congress party which has always relied on development and peace as its benchmarks is again putting in all its strength to ensure that development of the region is accomplished like never before", he maintained.
