| Azad welcomes Jammu's Prominent Businessman Choudhary Yasmeen, Ch. Sobat Ali into Congress | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: : : In a major shot in arm for Congress party ahead o the Lok Sabha polls, prominent businessman, former Editor-In-Chief of State Observer Newspaper Choudhary Yasmeen along with Ch. Sobat Ali Friday joined party in the presence of former state Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad here.
The young leader, along with over hundred of his supporters was welcomed into the party fold by Azad in a grand ceremony held at Noor Castle Banquet Hall , Noorabad, Chowadi, Jammu. The function was attended by hundreds people.
Welcoming Choudhary Yasmeen's into Congress, Azad said that young people like Yasmeen joining the party will go on to boost prospects of the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and yet-to-be announced elections to State Legislative Assembly. "It is people like Choudhary Yasmeen that will help Congress triumph over the divisive forces who are hell bent tar apart the secular fabric of Jammu region," the Congress leader said.
Choudhary Yasmeen on the occasion said that the primary reason for him to join Congress was that it is the only party which in inclusive in its stand and will do justice with the aspirations of the people of the state. "Only Congress can safeguard the interest of every region of the Jammu and Kashmir as our State offers a unique proposition of diversity and composite culture" Choudhary said.
He added that he will ensure that Congress gets strengthened in Jammu region and he will make strenuous efforts in helping the party to register an impressive win. |
