Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 14: From Sunday's speech of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at Kathua one thing has become clear that Prime Minister has realized that there is strong anger against BJP candidate Dr Jitendra Singh that is why he (Prime Minister) has not mentioned his name during 38 minutes speech.
While addressing gathering the Prime Minister has sought support of the people of Kathua in his own name and he preferred not to mention name of any BJP leaders of J&K including Dr Jatindra Singh because Prime Minister had got authenticate information from the intelligence agencies that sitting Lok Sabha member, who is minister in PMO, has done nothing except issusing press statements in the media and addressing functions of a particular community.
Credible sources said that before the rally Prime Minister was informed that seeking votes in name of sitting Lok Sabha member would be proved counter productive so Narendra Modi preferred to strike emotional chord with people of Kathua personally and avoided mentioning name of Jatindra Singh. Even in the beginning of speech, Prime Minister has not mentioned name of any local BJP leader because he was very much aware that people of Jammu region are allergic to local BJP leaders including MPs, MLAs and ex-ministers because they betrayed them badly.
Prime Minister was all praises for the people of Jammu and Baramulla for turning out to vote in large numbers in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections and said, "The huge voting percentages coming out from Jammu and Kashmir reiterated the fact that the people here want to strengthen the democratic structure in the state. They have given a befitting reply to the anti-India and separatist voices as well as to the 'Maha-Milawati' gang who have always doubted the people's abilties and willingness to vote for elections in India."
PM Modi further lashed out at the Congress and its regional allies PDP and NC for forging an opportunist alliance that stands against the interests of the country and said, "The recent statements given by one of Congress' allies here asking for a separate Prime Minister for Jammu and Kashmir reveals how this alliance goes against our country. This alliance is an alliance of opprtunitism and hunger for power and not to provide better opportunities of life for the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
