Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 14: Kishtwar police, which is probing last week's killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his security guard, is facing a major challenge because of non-availability of CCTV cameras in the OPD section of the Kishtwar hospital where the killings took place. Meanwhile, Kishtwar main town remain under curfew for sixth consecutive day Sunday. As per the details available with "Early Times," police has also failed to find the eyewitnesses who could record their statement before the police or a magistrate. According to the sources, the high profile FSL team had arrived at Kishtwar for examining the vehicle which was used by the militants to escape from the spot to ascertain whether the number plate as well as chasis number have been tempered with or the same are original so that they could trace out the owner of the vehicle and to connect the chain with the crime.
Kishtwar police had already issued the lookout notice for tracing out the suspect Zahid Hussain Sagar of Kursoo Dachhan who is believed to be the present owner of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the police continues to be tight lipped over the progress in the investigation, even as the army and the CRPF carried out search operations in many areas of Kishtwar town on Sunday including the areas falling under ward No. 13 of Kishtwar Municipality.
The search by army is being seen as a use of AFSPA in Kishtwar district for the first time in last over a decade as no major search operation was carried out by the army in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas since long.
The sources said that house to house search will remain continue in days ahead as well.
