BBPS celebrates annual day

JAMMU, Apr 17: Annual day of Bal Bharti Public School (a unit of BALGRAN -A Charitable Home for Destitute Children, Channi Rama, Jammu) was celebrated here today. Prof Manoj.K. Dhar, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University was the Chief Guest.
On behalf of Governing Body of BALGRAN and management committee of the school, A.K. Khajuria, President BALGRAN welcomed the Chief Guest. Urmil Arora, Principal of the school, presented Annual Report. Students of the school staged various cultural and dance items starting with "Saraswati Vandana". Chief Guest gave scholarships to meritorious students and prizes to those children who excelled in various extra-curricular activities. All round prizes were given to children and Tagore House of the school received the prize as best house of the school.
Chief Guest was presented memento by A.K. Khajuria. President of BALGRAN. Chief Guest assured all possible help and ensured that Balgran/ Bal Bharti public School will be adopted by Jammu University. Chief Guest further ensured that team of scholars and experts will be deputed by Jammu University to upgrade the Science Lab. Computer Lab and Library of Balgran. Chief Guest further ensured that all possible supports like counselling, guidance will be provided to the children of Balgran by the Jammu University. Vote of Thanks was presented by V.K. Raina Honorary Secretary of Balgran.
