Doda, Apr 18: Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) youth leader from Bhaderwah received injuries in an attack near his residence following an attack allegedly by the some workers.
The injured leader, Touseef Mattu, was removed to hospital.
Narrating his woeful tale, Mattu said: "While returning home last evening men known to me intercepted me near my residence. One of them hit me with a rod and several others punched me. I fell down. The men ran away. I know all of them."
The incident triggered protests. The people demanded arrest of the culprits. As a precautionary measure, the authorities snapped mobile internet in the town, reports said. Meanwhile, the police took cognizance of the crime. |
